The Trials and Tribulations of Tampa Bay Fishing

Fish of a different sort.

I woke up late today and the kids were in no mood to go fishing. Thunderstorms were predicted and no babysitter. What to do?  What to do? With the economy in the slump it has been in, this summer has been very harsh on the full time guides. In Order my top three are my family, fishing , and poker. Ever since they first aired Moneymaker winning the world series of poker, i have been hooked. I started off playing small home games and got to the point where despite winning almost always it just wasnt enough. I then found the local casino and dog tracks have great poker rooms now. Fishing is still first, but whenever that doesnt pan out, you can find me at the table. i just do not understand where these people have all this money to blow. I see the same people losing up to a grand a day, but they are still there.

This is where it gets fun. If most people are losing, at least a select few are winning. Im lucky enough to be one of those select few. i used to get very upset when a fishing trip had to be cancelled. Im Ok w it now. I have a back up place to go.

Tonight was a very profitable night. The fish I found were at the poker table.

This wasnt put up to brag about poker. i just wanted to give everyone an insite into my daily routine. I plan on posting a lot and I hope all enjoy the true trials and tribulations of a fishing guide.

Thx for reading.

Dr Doc (dlcs) - 8/30/2009: i am a Piranha fisherman. I just spent 18 months in hospital getting my leg sewed back on at the knee cap. A giant Piranha fish attacked me on Miami Beach and tord my leg off. Please see the photos at: http://fox-news-magazine.blogspot.com/
