Captain John specializes in light tackle fishing for inshore game fish. He is licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard and has fished the waters of Tampa Bay since 1970. Captain John takes pride and gives 110% effort to ensure his guests have a fun, action-filled experience that will create lifetime memories. Capt. John’s patience, professionalism, and intimate knowledge of Tampa Bay waters have enabled him to maintain a NO FISH NO PAY policy. The majority of his clients are repeat customers, which is a testament to their experience aboard his 23’ Dorado tower boat “ Funny Feeling”. Based out of Apollo Beach, Captain John fishes from north Tampa Bay to south of the Skyway Bridge, depending on the targeted species, time of year, and weather conditions.
Captain John has been in numerous local newspaper articles and has won many local fishing tournaments, such as the 2006 Florida Aquarium Tournament - largest Redfish; (2005 and 2006) Mercury Grand Slam Tournament - largest Trout - 2006 “GO FISH” Tournament - largest Snook - along with several others. He is also a member of The Florida Coastal Conservation Association. |
| Captain John provides license, bait, tackle (top of the line rods and reels), ice and water. Clients are encouraged to bring their own food and drinks (alcohol is permitted).
