| Game Qualities: The Goliath Grouper’s game qualities pretty much rely on brute force. At one point in time they were legal game, but they are now illegal to keep. These Fish can get to massive sizes exceeding 200 and even 300 pounds! |
| Fishing Tips: The goliath grouper will eat and can be caught on almost any of the baits listed for other fish. They are not very picky eaters and when they reach 100 pounds or more, they are known to eat catfish, jacks, and even mackerel. |
| Food Value: These Fish cannot be kept. It is illegal to keep a goliath grouper of any size, although they are very fun to catch. |
