I had a couple of hours today and had to have a look at the new Lowrance... the weather sucked, but Nick put it in last weekend and I hadn't been out with it yet so I had to go.

Just kinda tooled around the channels near O'Neils, broke off into the bay for a bit and then headed to the skyway. The bottom/fish finder was so cool that I thought I'd have a look at the artificial reefs near the skyway fishing pier. Took a couple over the bow and figured I'd get that view some other time. (smiley here)

There were a ton of fish showing at spots in the channels so I tossed out a gulp a couple of times when it showed a bunch and got hit each time. The wind was blowing so hard that drifting seemed almost like trolling but without the control.

Started playing around with the GPS a bit but was mostly just looking at the sonar.

It's gonna be cool, I haven't had anything that would show bottom features and fish trails more clearly.
