I picked up two brothers Darrel and Ray from the ramp this morning. The two were in town from Illinois and had heard stories of these monsters called snook. Darrel was a pro walleye fisherman on Lake Michigan and wanted his brother Ray to catch some fish. The bite was good throughout the day with about 20 trout up to 21 inches, An overslot red lost next to the boat, several rat reds, and half a dozen snook including Rays upper 30 incher. What a pig it was and what a great trip these two brothers had. All fish were caught on live bait N of weedon. With an hour to spare after catching bait, I managed this nice red before pick up.
