I can see from the site statistics that the blog section is getting some pretty decent traffic and there really isn't anything there so.... You may have noticed... I've been playing around a bit with the Yahoo PPC ads on the blogs. I use YPN (Yahoo Publisher Network) on many sites as the cost per click is in many cases significantly better.
The reason that I'm doing so is that we are considering a revenue sharing plan specifically for the blogs. If we do so, we'll use Google Adsense as it's a much more prevelent format and accounts are much easier to come by (or at least it's been the case historically... not quite sure if YPN ever came out of beta). It wouldn't necessarily be worthwhile just for the blog revenue but if you had something to say: existing publishers could add to their different revenue streams and those new to content publishing could learn about the process, the terms and the potential. For those with an existing Adsense account, you would be able to add your publisher ID in your user profile and your ad code would be rotated with ours randomly on all of your blog pages.
It's just a thought and will take a bit to code but if there's any interest I'd be glad to do it. The blogs are designed to be search engine friendly, will give a boost to your related site but haven't been taken advantage of at all. Maybe this would get it off the ground so to speak. If you have any thoughts, please post them here. -----
