Valentines Day I picked up Keith and his son-in-law Gordon (after catching plenty of whitebait) neither of them had ever caught snook before so they were siked. We fished both sides of the bay near Gandy and the bite was great. It was a little slow in the morning with Keith having the hot hand and catching the first two after Gordon missing his first shot at one but then he came back and caught a couple himself. Then Keith came back with another one and the bite slowed at that spot.So we made a move across the bay while eating lunch as not to lose fishing time.First stop we got a few hits but not to my liking so we made a small move and as we are getting to the spot I see a dolphin going into the area and grab a red and I figured the reds were blown out of there but figured the snook would still be under the groves hiding from flipper.I was right and the bite was great with some misses and some aerobatic catches these guys brought 17 snook to the boat which was not bad since Keith was 75 yrs old and never gave up.One big girl one the battle against Keith but we had seen her explode on a few baits and Keith was game so I made the long cast and the game was on but she made it back to the groves but he still enjoyed the battle and the day.

Here are a few pics from the day of a couple of nice guys
