Tampa Bay Fishing Report

With the cold fronts rolling in one after another it has been a chore to find good days to fish. I had the opportunity to fish in front of a few fronts and the bite was pretty good but weather was terrible. Rainy and windy! Snook are on their way to the spring time homes. We hit simmons park hard and found good numbers of snook. We managed a few fish just under 30 inches. The Trout bite has been hit and miss we had a day we hit 50 trout 15 to 20 inches and a few in the 24 inches, and the next day I went there thinking we were going to kill them and we caught 4, Go figure. The key to snook has been finding whitebait.  I have been really worn out after make trips to the bridge in 3 to 4 footers all week. As we go into the new week I have a couple of trips booked and the weather should be consistent so I would expect that the water temps will continue to rise which should help fish make their move to spring areas. I will also be at our booth at the Frank sergeant Show this weekend so stop by and say hi!
