I'm just now getting into the saltwater fishing and wanted to find a place to come and learn. I'm looking forward to learning everything from being able to read the channel markers better, better ways of rigging my equipment, boat setup, and where the fish actually swim!
i look forward to learning from all of you guys.

Welcome to the forum, and saltwater fishing! I look forward to reading your posts and will reply to any questions that I can.
What area do you do the most fishing in and is it mostly in/nearshore or offshore?
Like Greenback, I'm new to satwater fishing, but not to angling. I live in Minnesota and we visit our daughter & family in Tampa every year between Christmas and New Year. We have had fun in years past fishing from shore and public piers. This year, my son-in-law (who has limited to no fishing experience)has access to a boat (26 footer). I'd love to take my 16 year old grandson out (he comes to MN and fishes walleye with me every summer) and get him on some fish. I've heard that cobia are going good that time of year, but being the newbie I am, I have no clue where or how to fish them. Any info where and what to fish for (doesn't have to be cobia) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
