I'm Rob and this is my first post here. It's good to see another online community popping up, maybe this one will stay small enough to avoid all of the bashing, political crap and personality issues that litter many other local fishing forums.

I fish mostly the Gandy area in a 17' flats boat and look forward to trading tips with those that fish my area.

Welcome to the fourm Rob, nice of you to stop by. We won't tolerate all of that other stuff anyway... our forum is to suggest captains and for friends to talk fishing. I don't know if you've met John but he lives in your area and does very well. Maybe we could get together for a dock light tour one evening.

If he's the shark hunter in your photo album then yes, we met at the oyster roast. Doesn't he have a big open fisherman? Have you given any thought to going out tomorrow?

Looks too rough to go out very far but the flats are tempting with that early low tide.

Yea, that's him. He actually has a couple of boats... a 25' open fish (250 Yamaha) and a 17-18' flats boat (90 Etech).

If I get a wild hair I might head out early and stay close but I doubt it. That AM low tide sure does look good though!

I'm still trying to get a handle on the wind speed/direction stuff... maybe the best thing to do would be to go out, that way I'll know what it feels like in those conditions for next time. (smiley here
