I have not posted in awhile but will put up a post of some of the pictures from some of the recent trips.
Well I decided to do a little scouting with my long time friend Ray in some areas I haven't fished in awhile. It was definitely the smorgasbord of fish species all caught on whitebait with one of the nicest looking redfish I have ever caught. The picture does not do this redfish justice for the color. It was the most copper/red brilliantly colored red I had ever seen. Ray could not get over the way this fish looked but after a couple of quick pics back to the water it went.
The one thing about this day was the species count and if mother nature with lightning did not chase us off the water we were going to add to the list but it was still a great day with an old friend. You had to change presentations for some of the different fish like the mangrove snappers we used a small splitshot and the flounder we used a large splitshot while slow reeling across the sand.
Here is the list of species all caught on whitebait
Grouper Bluefish
Snook mackerel
Redfish ladyfish
Trout Pinfish ( on live whitebait)
catfish jacks
mangrove snapper
flounder puffer
to say the least we had action for the 4 hrs we fished
Dinner for two nights was grouper, flounder and mangrove snapper mmmmn
Here are a couple of pics from the day.
