I planned a trip with one of my sponsors. Jay from Bluewater Fishing Supply was to be my guest today. The plan was to do some inshore rock pile fishing for Grouper. After spending some time moving from rock pile to rock pile the grouper would not cooperate. Not wanting to waste to much time I made a decision and changed the plan to go fish the flats in search of snook. It only took one stop and it was game on. The snook were popping on all sides of the boat. After multiple catches and releases we decided to move on in search of some new area. Made a quick stop that put two more snook to the boat and then off we went to check out some canals that I thought may produce some sheeps head. We fished the docks pitching live shrimp and caught a few sheepies but nothing we felt worthy of keeping. The the Jack Cravelle showed up. I pitched a few chummers out and worked them into a feeding frenzy. After we gave our light tackle a work out on these fish in the 5 to 6 pound range we called it a day. Heres Jay with a snook
