| Brad and Eric hire me every year for the past five years and they are a blast. I enjoy taking them out because it is a nonstop raz fest. This year they had a friend Jerry go along for the ride and he was glad he did.
Wednesday the weather was challenging and the winds were gusting badly so we hit the Fort. At first we fished in an area that I could get my customers out of a bad storm fast if needed and we caught a few fish. Flounder undersized grouper but nothing in the lines of redfish our target. Then the weather eased up like it was suppose to and we made the move to an area where the water was cooler and the fish were there. The first cast was inhaled in seconds and a big grin was on my face because they were home and hungry!!!
Everyone on board caught reds, we had one slot fish that we released and the rest were over slot fish. 25lb leader, 10lb braid, a 1/0 circle hook and a splitshot (because of the wind) Cut bait was the choice of the day pinfish, mullet and ladyfish. The redfish have been really picking up the slack since the snook numbers are down. Snook are still around but they are not everywhere in numbers like they used to be. Here are some pics
