(24.92.176.138)		I am new to the Bay Area and found this site on an internet search. I visited the first result and it looked pretty lame so I ended up here. Am I in the right place?

Good to have you on board FlatsBandit. When you say you found us on an internet search... which search engine and what terms were you using? Just curious, I know that down the road the site will do well in search engines... I just wasn't aware that it was popping up already. (It's a new site and the forum has only been up for a couple of weeks)

About being in the right place... it may take awhile as this is brand new. If you're looking for some serious dialog straight away you may want to check out the Captain Mel forum or the West Central region on the Florida Sportsman forum. http://forums.capmel.com/tool/mb/capmel & http://outdoorsbest.zeroforum.com/zeromain?id=1

(24.92.176.138)		Thanks for the welcomes and the links. I have never seen a forum advertise another forum before is this site associated with the others?

I use msn and I think I searched something like tampa bay fishing forum or fishing forum tampa bay but I really don't remember.

(24.92.176.138)		Flatsbandit, thanks alot for the info. I know that we'll eventually do well on the search engines but was more than a lttle taken aback that anyone found us so quickly. I looked at MSN and sure enough:

#1 - tampa bay fishing forum
#4 - fishing forum tampa bay
#3 - tampa bay charter fishing
#4 - tampa bay fishing charters

I guess I've just gotta get more people to use MSN (smiley here). Seriously though, the other engines just take more time.

About the links, different forums have different policies. We're not at all associated with either but I enjoy both. IMO; Mel's site is the best place for local infomation with Florida Sportsmans west central region second. Florida Sportsman is cool because you can get info for anywhere around the state with local reports. Captain Mel's is cool because it's really local, no better place for what to do tomorrow.

We don't mind the posting of links to other forums because we're really not competitors. Check em' out and check back in here to let us know what you think.
