I went out with Ron this morning just sure that we were gonna slay em in the flats around the point around low tide. We got out there in our usal spot... by the time I though of "Jacks Hole" the water was too shallow to get there. I'd still like to try that one at low tide but didn't feel like tekking the 100 yards or so to get there on foot. We were using gulps and Ron gave "The Rattle Trap" a good trial. We caught about 12 or so fish... mostly all dink trout that were released unharmed (except one that swallowed the rig) and there were a couple of pins in the mix. No reds though, that surprised me. We made a run out to the sky way to see if we could find any bait near the markers and had no luck (there was no bait on the flats either other than small glass minnows) so we just anchored up and tossed out those nasty chum blocks (laced with pickle juice) and caught absoulutely nothing on our frisky pins. We missed kick off and weren't doing anything so decided to bring it in. After the game I went over to John's and cast netted a few jumbo mullet and learned how to clean them (first time for me). We also caught a couple of decent sized sheepshead from his dock. -----
