Mangrove Snapper!!! There on inshore pretty thick right now on just about any stricture you can find like Rocks, Jettys, Bridges and Docks. They are everywhere its almost hard to not find them. Use the shrimp that are not selling very good in bait shops or if you have a cast net, use some greenbacks. A Knocker rig (when the split shot is smack dab against the hook) on light tackle will work fine with 10 -15 lb braid and 15 -20 lb leader. Heres the pic of the 3 i kept from tonight i caught many more you gotta weed through the small ones to get to the nice ones. The fillet knife is 12 inches long. Go get em guys!

Yum! Gotta love those snapper!
Are you piecing the shrimp up like you would for sheepshead or using the small ones whole?
Well it was dark so i was hooking them through the head and pinching off the tail to release the scent. If they seem like small bites then use pieces.
I had plenty of shrimp so i was using whole ones.

Oh btw i fished sunset beach the first jetty yesterday at like 6 oclock and got 2 keeper trout, a bunch of ladyfish, and a keeper Spainish Mackerel. I went to the same spot today saw some tarpon but only came out with a bunch of small ladyfish, and jacks.
